Comr. Ogundipe O Seyi's submission over the retrenchment of over 500 Eksu staffs

It may be better to remain silent than to draw attention, but when calling attention becomes necessary for the benefit of humanity, remaining silent becomes a crime. I will like to condemn the show of shame exhibited  by the Ekiti state government and  the governing council of Ekiti State University over the retrenchment of over 200 lecturers and non academic staffs of the university.

Where is rule of law in this country Nigeria?  the Labour Act, Chapter L1, Laws of the Federation of Nigeria 2004 (“Labour Act”);. Made it clear on recruitment and retrenchment processes.

Where is the civil service rule and conduct in Ekiti state?
Did the retrenched staffs commits any offense? If yes.

Article 36 (paragraph 1) of the 1999 Constitution which provides that: "In the determination of his civil rights and obligations of any citizen, including any question or determination by or against any government or authority, a person shall be entitled to a fair hearing. Have you invited all these embattled lecturers?

I believe this nugatory and  inconsequential permutations is not necessary at this point in time when we are still agitating for more dons in the university community.

Chairman governing council, do employees have to be given notice of termination of their employment?
Yes, Sections 11 (6) and (9) of the Labour Act also made this clear.

I employ Gov Fayemi and the governing council to dispel the said retrenchment because i believe this act is from those people masturbating in their dreams and it is demonic and satanic and it is from the pit of hell to dismiss over 200 at a time.
