The year 2018 came with lots of promises and positive proclamations but the 1st quarter of the year is already gone and those lofty dreams and noble ideas still eludes explanations.
It is better to look inward and re-access yourself, reflects on the very many blessings that arrogancy and over-rating your bravery and prowess denied you of.
The people of Judah took Uzziah as king in place of his father at age 16, and he did what was right b4 God and God gave him success 2nd chronicles 26:8 , his fame spread as far as the bother of Egypt bc he had become very powerful(26:16).
After he became powerful, his pride led to his downfall as he entered the temple to burn incense on the altar, Azariah and 8 others confronted him and asked him to leave the sanctuary but he became angry, while he was raging at the priest in the altar, leprosy broke out of his forehead and he had leprosy until the day he died. Remember how Naaman(a valiant soldier and the commander of the army of the king of Aram would have died of leprosy too when prophet Elisha told him to"Go wash yourself seven times in the Jordan, and your flesh will be restored and you will be cleansed but Naaman was angry and went away from b4 him retorting"Are not Abana and Pharpa, the river of Damascus better than any of the waters of Israel" , so he turned and went off in rage, he would have missed his healing but for his servants. (2nd kings 5 vs 1-14). Adolf Hitler declared Britain the main enemy to be defeated and that Poland obliteration was a necessary prelude for that goal in 1939, and offended by the British "guarantee" on 31st March 1939 of polish independence he said I will brew them the devil's drink" ,his arrogance stemed from his very many conquest in war, and thus, his ultimate downfall. Fate had decreed our destinies!!! What has fate tossed on your palm that you are beginning to adduce to your abilities and capabilities? That you breast the tape does not accord you a 'larger than life' personality, why not look back and thank mother-luck for the little accomplishments.
Many of us were destined to achieve our long desired goals in the 1st quarter but ill fate would not let sheep grow horns, where you were supposed to stoop to conquer, arrogancy and self pride denied you of imminent opportunities.
We are entering into the 2nd quarter of 2018, you can still retrace your steps and navigate your ways back to the'main' track,take heed please as this is a clarion call. See you at the top.
