Prior to the election our correspondent conducted interview with students, lecturers and observers at the sence of the election. Mr Ogunro a lecturer of the department was a guest of our correspondent. He said he expect the student to conduct themselves properly and allow the election to be free, fair and credible. He also said he implore the ISEC to conduct the best election ever in the history of the noble association, He concluded by advising each aspirant to expect either 'head or tail' of the coin. A student of the department while responding to our correspondent said, he and his colleagues are well prepared for the election and they can't wait anymore. A number of the independent student electoral committee (ISEC) said screening have been conducted yesterday for every aspirants and all aspirants and all aspirants have been implore to tell there supporters to conduct themselves during and after the election.
The manifesto of the election was held in the college mini hall. A total number of 24 aspirants read their Manifesto to the hearing of the students on seat. The manifesto lasted several hours. Manifesto for President, Vice President, General Secretary was off hand. Shortly after the manifedto, the students were to move to the school sport complex for the election proper.

THE ELECTION:
A total number of 540 students is expected to cast their vote. The only means for casting vote is being a financial member. Due to this only 309 students started casting their votes at around 2:15 p.m. The election was a peaceful one. It was a free, fair and credible election. The results was announced by the ISEC chairman Akindoyin Akinbode and he hereby declare the following aspirants as winner of each posts. As we all know that majority carries the votes, so the aspirant with the highest number of votes wins the poll.
1- President: 309 votes, 20 void votes.

ReplyDeleteI must to express my feelings by saying: Am very happy for d mantle given to u dis day, and am very sure it gonna be a democratic ruling now, previously, it has bn government of the pple, by there pple and for there girlfriend. but now , power has change hand, it gonna be something else. congratulations to the Nobel department "EHT" for d era of burocracy and autonomy is gone.
