Royal diadem conducts charity fair, gives out clothes and food items

A Lagos based Non Governmental Organization named Royal diadem,today, gave out clothes and foodstuffs to more than 100 people  as Part of their annual charity event. The event which was held at Power house of faith in Christ, Ita oliwo ikorodu,Lagos state recorded lots of turnouts from both children and widows.

While Speaking to Roundnews,the coordinator of Royal diadem, Mrs Thelma Animasahun expressed excitement over the turnout of people.

"Todays charity fair was a wonderful one though we had more widows than usual but the joy we saw on their faces was enough satisfaction for us became that is our main focus to put smiles on their faces"

"Not forgetting the children who were happy when they were given clothes, shoes, bags, they were jumping for joy and fortunately we had some men in attendance which is very unusual", she said.

Mrs Thelma also disclosed to Roundnews what her NGO plans to do in the coming year

"Our next plan is to empower some of the widows by giving them a token to add to their existing business or start something small for themselves.Another plan is to add a medical team that will always go with us"

Widows who spoke to roundnews expressed contentment and joy for the clothes and foodstuffs received from the Non Governmental Organization

A widow who spoke to roundnews prayed for the NGO and described the organization as a life saver.
"The Christmas celebration is on Tuesday and after lots of worries, Royal diadem have been able to provide us with foodstuffs. They've obviously saved our lives" she said.

When asked about the challenges the NGO faced in organizing the charity event, Mrs Thelma said finance restricted them from doing more.
