The attention of the Ondo State All Progressive Congress, APC, has been drawn to a certain report by vanguard claiming fears seems to have gripped the leadership of the All Progressive Congress in Ondo state and wish to say categorically that the the state is comfortable with any of the lawful options.
The need for clarification becomes essential in order not to successfully mislead the teeming public. Hence, the need to put the records straight. No doubt the discourse of the option to be adopted for the forthcoming APC primary election into elective offices for both State and National Assembly has been a contending one in the political space.
However, it is inappropriate for a certain media outfit to come out with fictitious stories of jittery in the Ondo State chapter of the All Progressive Congress be it for or against direct primary option. In the said report, a narrative of disharmony is being created to exist within the state party organ and between the governor and some national leaders. This is outright misinformation.
Furthermore, the leadership of Ondo state APC make bold to say that it is still enjoying the support of the mass base in Ondo state due to its policies of good governance and will take charge regardless of any option (Direct or Indirect primary) adopted for it's primary. Consequent upon this, elements establishing undue and imaginative scenario of the party leadership being jittery of a certain option can continue to swim in their perpetual illusion.
