Makinde admonishes political leaders to collectively develop Ondo irrespective of political affiliations

Hon. Abiola Makinde, House of Representatives Member, Representing Ondo East/West Federal Constituency has admonished political leaders in Ondo Kingdom to collectively develop the city.

This position was made earlier this morning during his address as the Chairman, Ekimogun Day Gala Night 2019 at the Oba Adesanoye Civic Centre, Ondo.

He offered words of appreciation to the Osemawe, Oba (Dr.) Victor Adesimbo Kiladejo and the Ondo Development Committee (ODC) for the opportunity afforded him to be the Chairman of Ekimogun Day Gala Night, describing it as a call to service.

In his words “I want to sincerely appreciate the Osemawe, Oba (Dr.) Adesimbo Kiladejo for fostering peace in the Kingdom. I want to thank His Royal Majesty and the ODC for the opportunity to serve as the Chairman of today’s Gala Night. It is a call to service in a bid to further develop the community.”

“I want to appreciate the Chairperson of this occasion, Hon. Cecilia Fayase, the Special Guest, Hon. Oladiji Olamide, the Ondo West and East Local Government Chairmen, Honorable members of the Ondo State House of Assembly present. It’s needless to say that I feel very delighted to be in the midst of a host of elites celebrating our very own Ekimogun Day.”

“We have to collectively take the development of Ondo to the next level notwithstanding our political affiliations. We have to come together for the growth of our youths, women and the aged.”

“In my capacity as the MHR, I have been able to attract employments for our youths in various Federal Government parastatals and also included in the 2020 budget, a one hundred million Naira Ultra Modern Skill Acquisition Centre in the city with the ground breaking coming in no time.”

The MHR led the donations for the community’s development and joined a host of other dignitaries to dance to the melodious rhythm of King Sunny Ade and his African Beats band at the occasion.
