Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu has lauded Ondo State pilgrims who participated in the last pilgrimage exercise to Isreal for not absconding and representing the state well.
Speaking at a special thanksgiving service held at the chapel of grace government house in Akure, Governor Akeredolu noted that going to Isreal means a lot to Christians to enable them take spiritual stocks in other to appreciate what Christianity is all about.
The governor who noted that the state is known for its integrity in the scheme of things decried the manner at which many participants see pilgrimage as an opportunity to abscond with a vow to ensure such act is resisted completely in the state.
n his exhortation, chairman of the State Christian welfare board, the very reverend Raphael Agboola emphasized the need for people to show appreciation to God stressing that it comes with compensation.
Highpoint of the service was the presentation of certificate to the Jerusalem pilgrims by the governor and intercessory prayers.I
