Who or what is in love with the world and attached to the objects in it? It is our mind, if you conquer your mind, you definitely detach yourself from the bondage of attachments; to anger, failure, primordial sentiments and aeonic inhibitions. What does your mind see!! A problem or a mere challenge, do you belong to the group that brought a disheartening and defeatist report to Moses after 40 days of scouting the land saying"We can not be able to go against them, they are great stature and we felt like grasshoppers" or aligned with the thinking of Caleb and Joshua who reported otherwise saying"If God is pleased with us, He will take us there and deliver the land flowing with milk and honey unto us, we can conquer them easily" .
Most of us quiver as we behold mere challenges that are meant to propel us to the next level but our faith and strength collapsed in us as we become sheeps without a shepherd. What Martin Luther King jr saw in 1968 with his famous speech "I have a dream that one day the sons of former slaves and former slaves owner will be able to sit down together at the table of brotherhood" , Obama came to reap in 2008(50 years later) with his own speech of"Yes we can" . Over 80%of the world population rated the present president of the US (Donald Trump)below average, the media gagged and choked him but he has his eye on the ball. The elected President of Liberia, George Weah sat for his SSCE at age 40, who told you the hour is late? Shove them aside please.
This year is gone again and another beckons, it will forever remain a perpetual cycle until we finally bow to the decision of the supreme God, look back and frown at the many failures, untapped opportunities, unutilised hours and the resources wasted, look up to a new and fresh beginning in 2018 with hope, determination and courage, change your crowds if what all those around you see is failures, change your cravings if it's wasting your resources, change your commitments if you are spending much time on vanities.
Associate with successful people and an amazing testimony awaits you, do not be afraid for the Lord is with you. See you at the top where you rightly belong.
