A cleric with the Nigerian Baptist Conference in Ondo State, Pastor Deji Joshua, has been killed in Okitipupa, in the Okitipupa Local Government Area of the state by suspected armed robbers .
The deceased was the pastor in charge of the Goodnews Baptist Church, Igbegunrin , Ilaje /Apoi Association of the Ondo State Baptist Conference .
According to a police source , the deceased was on his motorcycle when the suspected robbers killed him on Ode Aye Road.
The source , who said the incident occurred at about 11 . 30 pm on Monday , added that the robbers stole the motorcycle.
Few days after the incidents it was gather by Smart360News that the motorcycle was not stolen, the motorcycle was found in the Police custody of the Okitipupa Command.
Other pastors from Goodnews Baptist Church was later told about the scenario covering the motorcycle issue.
"We were not told about how they got the motorcycle back to the police custody" The anonymous pastor added.
Also in addition, it was during the emberment of the deceased corpse at State Specialist Hospital, Okitipupa that the police men in charge of the case got to know that the pastor was shot with a gun.
The motorcycle is still in the police custody and further investigation is still ongoing.
