It have been clarified that the executive governor of Ondo state Arakurin Akeredolu have sworn in the newly appointed commissioners in Ondo state and Hon. Esan was announced as the commissioner for environment making the 5th time an Ilaje person will be given that same appointment.
I'm writing this on behalf of all Ilaje youths that the appointment given to Hon. Esan is not what we deserve as a local government that serves as the economic strength of Ondo State.
If other governors have been doing it, must Aketi follows the trend?.
If we can be producing such an economic viable resources and yet we are not enjoying the dividends of the government. What are you people taking us for, is it that you are telling us we are not competent in holding other portfolios in government?.
Aketi, we are not complaining about the personality of the person that is holding the appointment but our concern is the portfolio.
I will advise the person that is with that appointment, I mean Mr. Esan from Lagos to reject that appointment because nobody is ready to congratulate you with that dead appointment you are holding, we deserve a better appointment or they should just change it.
It is on this note we are using this opportunity to call the attention of the entire Ondo state indigenes and to wake the consciousness of all Ilaje sons and daughters to these slap we are always getting from the government ever since the restoration of democracy in 1999.
In 1999, we were given commissioner for environment during Adefarati led administration.
In 2009, we were given that same portfolio, in 2013, we were given that same appointment and now during Aketi regime he is giving us that same dead appointment.
Aketi take back your appointment, Ilaje people rejects it because it is termed dead appointment.
Give us what we deserve.
