I WON ONDO APC GUBER PRIMARY – ABRAHAM

One of the All Progressives Congress, APC, gubernatorial aspirants in Ondo State, Segun Abraham, Sunday claimed he was the winner of the September 3 shadow election of the party.

Ondo State Governorship Primary Election Committee led by Governor Muhammed Abubakar of Jigawa State had declared Rotimi Akeredolu winner of the primary after garnering 669 votes to beat Abraham, who came second with 635 votes.

Dissatisfied with the outcome of the primary, Abraham as well as two other aspirants, Olusola Oke and Ajayi Boroffice, petitioned the party's Appeal Panel, calling for the cancellation of the election and conduct of a fresh one.

The panel recommended that the primary be cancelled and another one conducted but the decision was overruled by the national working committee of the party.

But Abraham who said there were three avenues of conflict resolution in the party and that he had only explored one of them, vowed to continue fighting until he retrieves the governorship ticket.
The aggrieved aspirant also said he would not hesitate to approach the court to seek justice after consulting widely.

He, however, declared that he would not dump the APC, saying "a landlord will not leave his house for tenants."
