The Convener of IBI GIGA AMBASSADORS Chief Dr Alex Ajipe has expressed sadness over the death of the Federal lawmaker representing Akure South/ Akure North Federal constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon Isaac Adedayo Omolafe, popularly known as Expensive who died in the early hours of Monday.
Ajipe also condoled with the family of the deceased, the people of Akure kingdom and his political associates.
In a statement issued by his Media Aide, Solomon Adewoye, Chief Ajipe also sympathised with the leadership and members of the House and the National Assembly over Omolafe's death, describing him as“the humble, vibrant and seasoned legislator and champion of the common man” adding that he would be greatly missed.
The Emure-Owo born politician said: “I’m deeply shocked and saddened by the news of the passing of Hon. Adedayo Omolafe. He was a notable leader in the country and a true grassroots politician. He fought for his convictions, for the people of Ondo State and for his country.
“Hon. Omolafe was also a good party man. He was unwavering in his support for his party, PDP, through all the twists and turns of his political life. His passing is a big loss to the larger political family in Nigeria.
“As a prominent political figure in Ondo State, he served our state with dedication, passion and concern for the common man. He lived in the hearts of his people and the vacuum he left in the state will be difficult to fill"
“My thoughts and prayers are with the family, the people of Akure kingdom, his political associate and Ondo State in general to mourn the passage of a great man, who contributed immensely to the development of Akure land as a chairman of Akure South Local Government and lawmaker in the National Assembly."
