No fewer than 32 bloggers and social media producers across Nigeria will participate in a two day media awareness training on countering hate speech and fake news.
The training tagged "Building capacity of Nigerian Social media Producers/Bloggers in countering Hate speech & fake news" is organised by Media Awareness and information for all Networks (MAIN) with support from the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO).
While the training in the South holds in Lagos between 6 and 8 of October, 2020, the session for the Northern will hold in Abuja at a date to be announced later.
The training will feature communication expert, Prof. Lai Oso of the Lagos State University (LASU), Dr. Seyi Soremekun of the United Nations Information Centre (UNIC), Dr. Hide Jimoh from LASU amongst others.
