Ondo State Deputy Governor and governorship candidate of the Zenith Labour Party (ZLP) in the October 10 election in the state has said his government will reduce the fees of the Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba-Akoko (AAUA) to N50,000 when elected governor of the state.
Ajayi gave the promise at his campaign flag-off in Ore, on Saturday.
AAUA students currently pay between N150,000 to N180,000 as tuition fee. The fee was increased from N30,000 by the present APC government.
Other key points from his address includes:-
1. To Reduce tuition fees in Akungba to 50k
2. To create Civil service revolving credit scheme
3. To initiate a Zero Pothole Project
4. To initiate an Arugbo Scheme that will encompass prompt payment of pension and retirement benefits and a targeted effort to cater for the health and welfare needs of senior citizens.
5. To start an “Operation Restore Power” in the South in 100 days.
