Aggrieved All Progressive Congress, APC Leaders from the human rights activists,DR TUNJI ABAYOMI's political enclave in Akoko North West Local Government, AKNWLG today stormed the Akure Party secretariat to protest the imposition of Arc.MORAKINYO AJAYI as the Party’s Chairmanship candidate for next Council poll of by Governor Rotimi Akeredolu and the State APC Party Chairman Engr.Ade Adetimehin.
The peaceful protest almost turned awry as Political Thugs and Miscreants physically attacked the protesters numbering about hundred from all the 10 Wards of AKNW who gathered at the Secretariat chanting solidarity songs and carrying placards with various negative and demeaning inscriptions exchanged punches with the thugs who tried to prevent them from entering the gate.
These inscriptions includes “Aketi, Adetimehin Don’t Kill APC,” ‘No To Imposition of A cUltist “,Akoko Obas,Women, Students Artisan rejects imposition of a Cultist’, “We Reject Morakinyo a Cultist”, Aketi Don’t Cajole Us With Senate Ticket”, “AKNWLG Reject Senate Ticket”,Aketi Beware of Adetimehin”,” Adetimehin Is a Political Jobber” “ We will Fight Aketi, Adetimehin more than we Fight Tinubu”.
Despite the fact that the Gov.Akeredolu has just endorsed Dr Tuni Abayomi a Leader from the LG for the Ondo North Senate the APC Leaders from the different Wards and Communities still vent their angers on the attempt imposition by Aketi and Adetimehin which they vow to resist with the last drop of their blood.
They condemned in entirety the imposition of Morakinyo which they promised to jointly resist Aketi and Adetimehin for been un-grateful to the LG for helping them fight Asiwaju Bola Tinubu’s imposition of an Akoko Son, Segun Abraham as APC governor in 2016.
“AKNW LG will evoke the spirit of Aluta on its members to fight Aketi and Adetimehin with the same velocity, corrosive and might that we invoke to conquer the rampaging Jagaban’s Bourdillon Forces”.
“We are sure Gov.,Akeredolu will not allow Adetimehin kill APC as he is misleading him by re-imposing the Morakinyo whose abysmal performance in office has drawn back the LG Council from development, unity and progress.
It is share wickedness for any Leader in this state to be nursing the return of Morakinyo as LG Chairman will amount to looking for a trouble from the people of AKNWLG.”
The protesters dispersed from the Party Secretariat only to reconvene at the Governor’s Office,Alagbaka Akure with the remaining posters and placards to demonstrate their anger on the attempted imposition of Morakinyo.
The APC State Secretariat has kept mute on the embarrassing development that has made the Leaders at the State to be hiding their faces in shame over their in-ability to manage the internal crises arising from the imposition of candidates.
