A former member of the House of Representatives from Ondo state, Hon. Albert Akintoye has dumped the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for the ruling All Progressives Congress(APC).
Akintoye ,who represented Irele/Okitipupa federal constituency in the 7th Assembly, formally dumped the PDP on Monday in Irele.
He was received by state acting chairman of APC, Mr. Ade Adetimehin with his followers.
The former lawmaker urged other members of the PDP to follow suit by dumping the party and join APC so that “together we will make Ondo greater”.
In his remarks, Mr.Adetimehin, commended Akintoye for the bold step he took in joining the party.
APC stalwarts at the event include the State Commissioner for Physical Planning and Urban Development, Prince Solagbade Amodeni, caretaker committee chairman of Irele local government, Jimi Odimayo, Ondo southern senatorial chairman of the party, G O. Oyeto, amongst others.
