Reno Omokri, a former special aide to ex-president, Goodluck Jonathan, has accused the All Progressives Congress (APC)-led administration of trying to conceal the truth behind the $43 million seized by the EFCC in Osborne Towers apartment in Ikoyi.

Omokri in a Facebook post on Monday, April 17, said the minister of information and culture, Lai Mohammed and other government officials were yet to make any statement on the seized money because they are looking for a convincing lie to link the money to Goodluck Jonathan
He said: " Do you want to know why Lai Mohammed and co are taking a long time to comment on the $43 million? Because it takes time to cook good lies! They do not know how to cook a convincing lie that links Goodluck Jonathan to the money so they have requested technical assistance from more hardened liars. Two things that they will never reveal to the public.
Reno Omokri accuses the APC of trying to link the $43 million seized by the EFCC to Goodluck Jonathan.
"1. Who owns the Osborne Towers apartment?
"2. Why would the EFCC go ahead to raid an apartment if they had actually been warned beforehand that it belonged to a security agency?

"You see, the best script writers are not in Nollywood or Hollywood. They work for the APC!"
Meanwhile,  reports that the minister of transportation, Rotimi Amaechi, has asked former minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode and a media aide to governor of Ekiti state, Lere Olayinka, to
publicly apologise and pay him the sum of N2n for linking him to the seized Ikoyi N13 billion.
The minister, who made the demand in separate letters dated 14th April, 2017, through his lawyer, Prince Lateef Fagbemi (SAN) also gave Fani-Kayode and Olayinka seven-day ultimatum to meet his conditions.

Amaechi is demanding N500m from Fani-Kayode as compensation for the alleged malicious posts by the former minister on his twitter handle on April 14.
He is also demanding two separate sums of N750m totaling N1.5bn from Olayinka as compensation for the alleged “malicious” posts by the Ekiti state governor’s spokesperson on his Facebook timeline and twitter handle on April 14, The Punch reports
