The Spanish Football Federation has handed
Barcelona's Neymar a three game ban, hence
dashing his hopes of featuring in the
upcoming El Clasico against Real Madrid.
The Brazilian was shown a second yellow
card and a red against Malaga which resulted
in a one game ban but the Spanish FA added
two more games for dissent against referee
Gil Manzano who he applauded as he
marched off the pitch.
Neymar will miss the upcoming El Clasico

The Brazilian forward was reported by
Manzano after the match for ironically
clapping his decision as he left the field.
The Spanish Football Federation made the
announcement on Tuesday.
Neymar was shown a red card against Malaga
Neymar will miss Saturday's clash at Camp
Nou against Real Sociedad, and the following
week's El Clasico at the Santiago Bernabeu.
Neymar's suspension will also see him miss
the clash against Osasuna on April 26.

Barca currently trail Madrid by three points,
with Zinedine Zidane's men holding an
additional game in hand over their rivals.

Barcelona have said they will contest the
decision before the Appeals Committee on
Wednesday.

The Catalans are arguing that Neymar's
sarcastic clapping did not necessarily mean
dissent and that the additional ban is
therefore unjustified.
The Brazilian has scored nine goals and
provided 10 assists in the league this season
making him second only to Suarez as a
provider.
