Joint Empowerment Scheme for Niger Delta States; Emotel Global Oil Announces Closing Date For Applicants Across the Region.

Emotel Global Oil has announced the deadline for the Joint Empowerment Scheme for Niger Delta States being Coordinating across the Niger Delta Region.

While Ondo State was successfully Distributed printed Application forms for applicants since March 10th and ended today, other states of Abia, Akwa-Ibom, Bayelsa, Cross-River, Delta, Edo, Imo, and Rivers State are also Applying Online since then and to end on 20th of April 2017.

Disclosing this in a statement on Wednesday, the CEO Emotel Global Oil Ltd , Prince Emorioloye Owolemi, said the announcements for the deadline is to allow more potentially qualified candidates participate, as well as to expand the opportunity base around the Niger Delta Areas.

The programme which had initially commenced on March 10th  was billed to close on April 20th for all States of the Niger Delta both online and printed forms.

The statement read, “However, being very keen on keeping its promise of empowering and uplifting young and Aged people of Oil Producing Communities in the Niger Delta States by improving their livelihood and creating opportunities such as this (in an as inclusive and diverse manner), the Emotel Global Oil is providing an additional grace period for more people to access the Joint Empowerment Scheme opportunities.

“We have distributed more than 3,700 printed application forms for applicants in Ondo State which has Ilaje and Ese Odo as Only two Oil Producing local governments. We have also received more than millions of Application Forms from other eight States applying online.

The deadline for the receipt of applications is now Thursday, April 20th, 2017.
“The Joint Empowerment Scheme is one of the Empowerment initiatives to helping Federal Government in the ongoing dialogue efforts embarked upon to end Niger Delta Crisis, designed to empower young and Aged people of the Niger Delta Areas with life-long skills to find or create work.

“The Joint Empowerment Scheme programme is segmented into Four: Scholarship
Skill Acquisition
Employment
And Sit-at Home

“The Joint Empowerment Scheme is targeted at young and aged people, and is aimed at enlisting a total of 70,000 young and Old Ages in phases, and under different sectors, in the largest capacity development
and empowerment effort yet in the country.”
Prince Emorioloye Owolemi noted that the announcement in deadline will afford interested persons who have not yet applied, an opportunity to do so.

He said, “This will also allow those yet to complete the application process Online to ensure they do not Reapply or else will not be processed. We are aware that some people applying online are unable to upload their passport photograph, local Government Origin, and others. Those people shouldn’t reapply, we will rectify all this during physical screening at applicant’s local government when we get there.

“To apply, simply log on to www.emotelglobaloil.com  and register for any one of the Four sub-programmes.

“Any prospective applicant, who has any challenge with uploading supporting documents unto the Portal because of the space of the files, shouldn’t bother his/herself.

“After the Application portal closes, there will be a verification, testing and selection process before successful applicants are enlisted in phases as the specific programme design may necessitate,” Prince Emorioloye said.
