A group, Assembly of Muslim Youths(AYM) ile ife branch, has commended the effort of Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwunsi for organising Women Empowernment program in the town and also tasked the monarch to take Youth empowerment as
a crucial part of his agenda.
The advice was given by the President of the group, Mallam Abdul Qudus Ojomo in a press release, where he urged the Ooni to ensure that youths in
the town are empowered positively in all
ramifications.
He expressed out that youth empowerment is
crucial for the development of the the ancient city and Nigeria at large, stressing that youth restiveness
in the town is due to joblessness.
Ojomo added that the group will in its own way support youth empowerment programs during Ooni regime if needs be as one of
the cardinal goals of the organization is to
“ensure that youths are well empowered in our
local communities, country and on the global
stage.”
The Public Relation Officer of the group, Shaykh Abdul Rafiu Oluwadaisi emphasized that youth empowerment is key to
national development and economic growth.
The group stated that the Ooni tenure would be on a positive side of history and posterity if it
implements a blue print that would ensure
youth’s empowerment.
