Joint Empowerment Scheme for Niger Delta States: Emotel Global Oil Rescheduled Date For Ondo State

Following the unprecedented issues erupted at the Oil Producing Local Government Headquarter Igbokoda in Ilaje Local Government, Ondo State on 10th March, 2017 which was the date for the distribution of the Joint Empowerment Scheme Application Forms at Ilaje High School Hall, EMOTEL GLOBAL OIL has rescheduled new date for the Distribution of the Joint Empowerment Scheme Application Forms to Ilaje Local Government Ondo State.

The decision following Ilaje Local Government Council, Ilaje Local Government Stakeholders, Chiefs, Security Appearance, and Intervention of the leadership of the Ilaje Oil Rich Local Government.

The New Date for the Distribution of the Applicant’s Form is as Follows:

Date: Sunday 2nd April, 2017
Venue: Civic Centre Igbokoda
Time: 10am Till 6pm
Duration: Seven Days

In his address, he said a consensus has been reached among the Leaders and security operatives to reschedule the Distribution Date.

Therefore, the Distribution of the Joint Empowerment Scheme Application Forms for Ilaje Local Government will be made on Sunday 2nd April, 2017 at Civic Centre Igbokoda starting at 10am Till 6pm every day and it will last for Seven Days. While other States are re-scheduled to apply online as of Monday 20th March, 2017.

Emotel Global Oil explained that, while they were ready to conduct the distribution  as originally intended, they decided to heed the advice of Nigerian security agencies officials. The issue of security, Emotel Global Oil said, is outside the body's competence.

They refuted claims that the development is due to the low distribution of forms or if it had been influenced by politicians, and other issues.

"The Program cannot be influenced, it is a non Governmental program under no any Ministry and we have set machineries and expert on ground to train applicant’s on their specific desires. We have lobbied series of Company and the embassy of some European Countries and the United States For Visa Entering. While we awaiting Federal Government of Nigeria response to the dialogue efforts, we implore politicians to put their party interest outside the program but cooperate with us, as we are working towards the development of the country, Self Independently Employed and free access for Niger Delta States in foreign Countries.

It is regrettable that despite the crowd and which people have spent huge amount of money to transport themselves to the venue, we were unable to distribute the forms on the 10th March which was previous date due to some challenges that some top youths and politicians were agitating for slots, and which brought security and some top leaders appearance.

The Forms will be accessed by Individual Applicant’s Directly from us. All Applicant’s is requesting to maintain a Que at the Hall, and to please maintain peace. We assure everyone would get a form. Irrespective of pressure, we also State Categorically that the forms would not be obtained from any leader, except from our Ad-hoc Staff.

Applicants are also required to go to the Civic Centre Igbokoda with their Local Government Origin, One Passport Photograph. Bank Officials would be available at the Scene to Open Account Number to those that doesn't have Account yet.
