THE highly anticipated release party of the
blockbuster movie ‘Bloodlines’ held last Thursday
at the prestigious Civic Centre, Lagos, amidst
pomp and glamour. The event had a host of
Nollywood stars in attendance including
Stephanie Linus and her husband Linus Idahosa,
Omoni Oboli, Ufuoma McDermott, Majid Michel,
Frank Artus, Iyabo Ojo, Paul Obazele, Nuella
Njubigbo, Ruth Kadiri, Yvonne Jegede, to
mention a few.
‘Bloodlines’ Release Party was anchored by the
pioneer of Nigerian comedy, Ali Baba. Nigerian
music superstars Phyno, Kcee and Harrisong
treated guests to scintillating performances.
Top comedian, AY and fast rising comedian Mr
Hilarious, formerly known as SkooBoi also
thrilled the audience to rib-cracking jokes. Sen.
Ben Murray Bruce was the special guest of
honour at the event.
Speaking at the event, the Executive Producer of
the movie, Engr Walter Ojimba said “Our goal is
to use African stories to produce films for the
international market. Films that can compete
worldwide and place African cinema positively in
the global film market”.
The Director of the movie, Pascal Atuma added
“This is just a rehearsal party, we are still
warming up, the real game will start soon by
God’s grace. Craigwal Group and The Atuma
Brothers International Company (TABIC) will
continue to do our best with our partners till we
bridge the gap between Hollywood and
Nollywood completely”.
A Pascal Atuma Film, “Blood Lines” is about a
mid-level African American gangster, Stanley,
whose chance meeting with the beautiful Lily,
causes him to risk everything just to be with her.
Instantly smitten with Lily, Stanley pursues this
woman who has captivated his imagination.
