As Christian faithful celebrate the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, FCT residents throng fun places within the metropolis to have fun in spite of hard times. NAN correspondent, who visited fun places, reports that in spite of lack of salaries for civil servants, long fuel queues and high cost of food items in markets, there was influx of people at recreational parks. At Magicland Amusement park, families, friends and children were seen carrying out all sorts of fun activities like boat and horse rides, skating as well as table tennis, among others. Mrs Funke Adelekun, a banker said that although goods and commodities prices crept up and the inexplicable long queues at filling stations, there was need to still celebrate. I am a Christian and I believe God is the one taking care of me and family so, in spite of what is happening in Nigeria now I know we will survive.The economic and social challenges that abound in the world now will not deter me; I am among the categories of people who have made it a matter of priority to trust in this country Nigeria. She urged Nigerian to give President Buharis’s administration the opportunity to take Nigeria to its promise land. Also speaking, Mr Innocent Aremu, an Estate Surveyor said that he came with his family to Magicland to celebrate because he could not travel to his home town due to the fuel crises witnessed in Nigeria, I came here because I do want to be stranded either on the way or at home due to the fuel scarcity in the country now.’’ Another Respondent, Mallam Idris Abdu, a civil servant, said that he was thankful for the life that Allah gave to him and families which called for celebration.I am a civil servant and have not been paid but nevertheless I still managed to make my children and wives happy so life goes on whether fuel or no fuel, dollar or on dollar,’’ he said.
