A young man from Gerzawa Local Government Area of Kano State on Thursday morning was found dead, hanging on a tree .
Identified as Nura , he was naked .
Contacted , the Public Relations officer of the Kano State Police Command, DSP Magaji Musa Mjiya, who confirmed the incident, said the village head ,
Tsamyya Babba Gerzawa , sent a distress call to the Police Station that someone was dangling on a tree in his community.
Following the distress call, Majiya said , Police detectives mobilised and rushed to the scene, where they found the body .
According to Majiya, the Police untied him , lowered him down and rushed him to the nearby hospital, but he was certified dead on arrival by doctors on call duty .
Thereafter, he said , the Police conveyed his body to the Murtala Mohammed Specialist Hospital, where his remains have been deposited.
Maliya said the Police has commenced investigations into the case .
